Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner: “My dad volunteered and served in World War II to fight fascism, like most of my uncles, so we would not have an American president brutalizing and kidnapping Americans for exercising their constitutional rights and trying to make America a better place, which is what patriots do. Anyone, including federal law enforcement, who unlawfully assaults and kidnaps people will face criminal charges from my office.”

it's bad there, but wonder if it'll soon start to backfire on the feds. they've been getting lots of pushback from other government entities (almost everyone outside of the administration and wackadoddles like tom cotton and Fox News), and trump claiming he wants to expand them into Chicago, Baltimore and other cities is going to raise even more hackles.
I just looked up "wackadoddle" and found this definition in an edition of Merriam-Webster from 1932:

"A flibbertigibbet given to hokum, humbug and bouts of manic humors."

the other thing about federal forces going into cities: the local governors and mayors might oppose it, but the local police unions love it. they are threatened by the "defund the police" movement and want to scare residents away from supporting it.

do people know about the stats on these things

the real stats

I can't say because I don't want to come off as an asshole but let me just say

the stats as advanced by interested activist parties on this issue are astoundingly irresponsible

let me suffice to say that, as in all issues observed from abroad, the internal dynamics are very, very different than they may seem

Leo and Padraig and other US folk may disagree with me here, but

I have plenty of very left, very onboard for id-pol friends who got pilled on this one

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, to be honest. I know unarmed whites get shot by cops too but it happens (proportionally) to black people about twice as often, doesn't it?

since I don't know your "stats" or takedowns of interested activists parties, I can't really say how I feel. fill us in.

Aight, I've said my piece and am open to correction. My main beef here, as always, is I just want more honesty from the left, be it on race, gender, or economics. Don't bullshit me about how there are zero downsides to socialism; admit that there are major problems endemic to centralized economies, and tell me your plan to minimize or solve them. I understand why there isn't more honesty; in the short-term, bullshit is selected for. But in the long-term, it ain't, and that's a problem.

And yes, I have higher standards of the left: they're more educated and they're the party I (with great exasperation) belong to; moreover, they're the party that inevitably seems to drag the world in its direction, so there's a responsibility to be responsible here, you see.

@luka How long do I have to delete these comments before I lose the ability? I'd like to not have these opinions on permanent record; our unrest is a little to incivil for these tastes.
