I started watching it, but got "distracted"

I've watched loads of Korean films, but couldn't see what was special about this one

many korean films that arent ultra violent revenge thrillers.
many good ones that are though.
parasite was good, but One Could Say that it presented the poor family in an unfavourable light. not saying they should be saintlike or over loveable and flawless, but theyre not presented as being scrupulous. but then i suppose the argument is that you cant afford to be (and a character says as much in the film) unless you have money (which presupposes middle class and rich people are all lovely and working class people arent).
id have liked a slightly diff ending. not into films that, without any ideas for a good ending, they decide on 'explosion of anger', and thats pretty much it (had the same issue with the korean film burning - that left me cold overall though).

this is much better. if you want to watch a film about a poor family from the east asia region you should watch this one
Thank you so much Luke, Watched this last night on https://ww5.123movieshub.tc/movie/shoplifters/watching.html?ep=1&sv=5

Excellent recommendation, and very good comparison with Parasite.

you should watch Capurnum, about an poor family from a different region https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capernaum_(film)
