Euro pickling is too salt heavy. Here in England our pickles rely on vinegar. Our favourite pickles are gherkins, pickled onions, pickled eggs. We also like pickled beetroot, pickled walnuts, pickled red cabbage.

I generally have Chinese pickles in the house but they usually have artificial sweetners which I'm not comfortable with

What do you mean artificial sweeteners? To make them sweet like gherkins?

Well, like artificial sugar substitutes. Carcinogens!

Don't think I;ve ever tried a turnip, although a neighbor just recommended I try them. Or maybe he recommended I tried growing them, not sure.

Leave out the sultanas and the apricots, double the spice quantity, don't forget the turnip.

Yes he gets a picture of Suspended Reasons face and overlays it with a suspended reason quote it's really funny.
