The Conservatives are going in pretty hard on this at the moment Leo. There has been similar stuff at the BBC and museums generally have been warned off removing problematic statues. Here is a local example:how widespread is this? more than just the example mentioned?
That really is remarkable. Definite "why are the rest of the room looking at me funny - again" vibes from that lot.Okay, who had "right-wing fucknuts go after the "Woke RNLI"" on their Culture War Bingo card?

that was the woke capitalism thread, which started out as a criticism of "woke-washing" and ended up as a reactionary pile-on against woke white women iircWas there a thread on 'performative wokeness'? Cos maybe that's where that belongs

I think it's a lot worse than that actually, small orgs are getting taken over by people who implement these same nasty initiatives but are well meaning and misguided - all these charities with white management who think they are changing the world in the right direction but are actually imposing hateful authoritarian management on their own workersI worry this sort of thing's happening on a greater scale than we realise. There must be plenty of smaller organisations without the visibility of the National Trust where these people are trying to force their way in.
