it's just socialite music isn't it. finally the white man is able to take ownership of the melancholy and romanticism of the darker skinned peoples. the extremity of the shout has been neutered. this is why i didn't agree with blissblogger about autotune being hypersoul, instead i believe its (as used today) hyper-emo.

It's Black music white liberals are comfortable listening to (in contradiction to capleton or UK drill or whatever.) And I think that in itself is a reassertion of white privilege. Wiley is an establishment figure now. Stormzy is getting there.

A group of brothers go to the mosque:

A respected imam in the community talks after namaz 'Oh allah I am not worthy of your forgiveness.'

A distinguished wealthy merchant says the same.

A poor toiler says the same, and the merchant kicks the imam in the leg. Why the hell is he saying this?

You see how the white privilege discourse reabsorbs into itself right? It reasserts the universal as only being accessible to self-flagellating white people and thereby secretly maintains their privileges. This is why many disgruntled white radicals move to afropessimism and believe antiblackness transcends the current society we live in.

wiley nopt being allowed to release that album really hurt me. i relate to that man a lot. nothing ever goes right for us. its cos we are year of the sheep. bred for slaughter. that album would have been the most popular album ever made. bigger than the beatles.

what do we think then? 10/10 and signal are highlights
