Did a few more tonight based on ithell colquhoun's techniques, drops and splashes and then outlining afterwards

Couple of oil sketches I made in situ with the 600 year old yew. One colour only. Massive faff cos my turps spilt over my hands and the rags blew away. And then I had to carry them both home trying not to smudge them.

This one is of a branch section where there's a split and then it comes back together. Looks to me like praying hands.

few cloud-themed ones from last year, just done with cheap poster/lino paints that my boss gave me. classic thing where i didn't care too much as i started on them, so i feel like they've got a bit of verve as a result, but then i spent more time on them and the little imperfections now, like the wrinkles in the page, annoy me. but there you go.

in je ogen waait de wind
i want to make a sculpture, what is the easiest material i can use? styrofoam probably right? but then how do i make it hard afterwards?
