I've been trying to do handstands and very nearly got it, which I didn't anticipate when I began this latest round of exercise mania. After that, handstand push ups.

have you got an online guru or do you just listen to the Voice in Your Head?

gabo saturno has some good routines. this one has some more advanced bits but I got a lot out of it:

generally when I encounter a pose I can't do I try to do a similar variation. so instead of a presss to handstand do a crow or a chest to wall or something

alo yoga has a lot of content, so if there's something specific you want to learn, they often have a class for it

I'd probably come crashing down into one of the good lamps, or at the very least frighten the cats. unless beginners are allowed to cheat and prop up against a wall for balance.

propping up against the wall is pretty much the only way to learn, unless you're some kind of physical freak who can just do a freestanding handstand without ever having to train for it

I’ve just had to see someone about a bad back - the first ten minutes was a list of all my physical defects that I knew nothing about - scoliosis, varicose veins, flat feet, but he did also say I had hyper mobility which isn’t great but explains why I’ve got on with lockdown yoga quite well. He then proceeded to stick needles in my arse and jump on my coccyx until I heard a crack and I think I might have seen god.
