this is what we've been waiting for. a series of thought provoking essays on the Killah Priest Mythos alongside some surgical dissections of individual songs from this sprawling ouvrere.

Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
He's one of those guys who was part of the wider Wu Tang circle but not a member of the recording group, right?

Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
Which is pretty good going for a white guy who lives in Wales.

When I was wandering round North Amsterdam looking for a bar on the river I found a Ghostface Killah Street. I always wondered if it was legit or a bit of malarkey- always difficult to tell there.

I was reading a thread on a rap forum about the lyrics to Supreme Clientele today.

They're pretty amazing aren't they? Slang compressed so tightly that it becomes abstract, nonsense-seeming to the uninitiated.

"Chop the O, sprinkle a little snow inside the optimo / Swing the John McEnroe, rap rock'n'roll / Tidy Bowl, gun hold pro, Starsky with the gumsole / Hit the rum slow, parole kids, live Rapunzel"

it's not cohesive and epic like cuban links and liquid swords. no unified mood tone.
