Let's Talk About Ceps
Spent much of this afternoon with the wee lad in the back garden, splashing about in the paddling pool, making 'rain' with the hose with a spray setting on the nozzle. So much fun.

Actually I was in the paddling pool, reading and drinking beer, for half an hour before he got back from the child-minders at 3. Three cheers for "W"FH.

Ferocious

The thing about paddling pools is you have to supervise or it can all go 1970’s public safety film, therefore I’m using a brolly as a parasol acting as life guard. If a ripe C Deneuve is out there and wants to come round for a Cherbourg demo, I won’t argue

it's been extremely humid this summer. my tshirts are drenched with sweat and sometimes i need to take two showers a day. there are flies and mosquitos everywhere, i feel like the city turned into a swamp. it's not comfortable.

Was like that here yesterday until weather finally broke about 2am, was lovely to sit on the balcony having a good night cigarette as it started a very fine rain. Like walking through a cloud.

Hurricane Henri missed us, just a rainy day here, but looks like it's zeroing in on the area near my family in Massachusetts. It's lowered to a tropical storm now, but still has winds up to 70 mph. hope the power stays on.

I'm sure we'll see others before the hurricane season is over. Sandy was in late October, so still plenty of time. you get a lot of rain in England but at least you're not on the annual hurricane path.

Warm and fresh, as in autumnal fresh. Wind NE, equinox and Goose Fair in no time, then All Hallows’ followed by Bonfire Night

2021. Rapid egg timer of life

Britain and Ireland both get hammered by every system that rolls in off the Atlantic swell. We own rain as hurricane 2nds and the east coast gets blasted from the North Sea. Not long until another 9 month block of quality rain and cleansing pneumonias

Chilly. Wore a coat to the shops. In August

The previous 3 years have thrown the British psyche into 30-35 degree molten swelterers. We‘ve become more maladjusted, if that were even possible

Today was more like the atypical low grey sky of late milky summer ripped by a NE wind, raw shit show now until next may 🇬🇧

two days of heavy rain on tap, leftovers from Ida, 4-5 inches expected. then a bank holiday marking the unofficial end of summer. kind of a drag, already getting dark a little earlier each day.
