I love that one photek album, modus operandi. Used to cane it in the car, great for driving. Similar to autechre

Yeah that's a great record, real paranoia, not for happy clappy nob heads, real introverted, methodical serial killer vibes. really makes me want to commit heinous crimes.

They're very hard to resist because they've both got impeccable taste in music and are charismatic cult-leader types.

Oh but you are way beyond them. you always show up on my spotify as listening to some really advanced classical. forget us proles. you've ascended to top high aesthete level. Tbf you should have tried to bone nomad instead of craner salavating over her. and your baby would have finally notated remarc - RIP for us in 5 minutes, the brightest child prodigy of the world.

The album they did for Virgin's one of the moodiest things I've ever heard. There's a tune on there that comes off like Hydro Theory's evil cousin.

ate 10 grams of hash to this once. proper trip, thought i was going to be choked to death by my neck turning into pincers and constricting my larynx. proper badboy shit.

The Hertfordshire / hardcore continuum thing always tickles me, being from that county. The area they drive through looks very similar to the kind of place I grew up.

Who else is there Herts wise? Adam F I think... Omni Trio... Moving Shadow is in Stevenage.

Goldie moved there. I believe he sent his daughter to the girl's school in my home town.

Simon Underground, one of London's best gabber/dark dnb djs also based in hartford

That wasn't me!

To set to record straight, it was Luke who said this to me, and Matt Ingram who nodded sagely along. I looked shocked and offended at the idea, but considered it and came to appreciate its thrust. I believe Mr. Ingram has since revised his opinion.

Yes, you have me to thank for this, all that 92 breakbeat techno hardcore undoubtedly proved to him that the real abomination was not techstep but big beat, and when dnb started cribbing tips from big beat circa 98, that's when it really started to go down the pan.

great stuff under his cloud 9 alias too. supports spurs though

It's alright Manita is an Arsenal boy we got this one.

Neptune from Fracture and Neptune as well.

Fabio also supports Spurs. Grooverider to his credit is a hammer.

Jumpin Jack Frost is a proper Brixton man U fan though, what a world.

Always wondered if Slipmatt will be in the list of proper essex boys who are Arsenal fans like good old Ronnie O'Sullivan. Don't think so.

think it's been taken off youtube. ah well. too lazy to re-upload.

In them days you could go out clubbing without worrying about what @thirdform or @luka would say.

Sorry chief got the deepest respect for you but big beat is just the new labour inversion of tory brit pop. Butchers might even agree, there was some brit pop murmurings on urban the other week, i was going to accuse Fatboy Slim of that mondo man kids gone to university I'm so proud of them they fell in love with a Peruvian expat but then i lost the thread and cba necroing it.

Who is that posh greek girl Jarvis Cocker fell in love with? Dad eventually entered Syriza.

Pulp - a 90s crossclass abomination. Look I'm all for falling in love with people from the enemy class but then to write gloopy tearful ('I want to wank off the inner cliched music critic in me' existential muck) songs about how they aren't common - well you shouldn't be either, use their wealth to fund wildcat strikes, chief.
