Australia was pumping immigration propaganda into Britain all through our childhoods. Most people don't understand that.

I used to watch neighbours religiously. I never really got on board with home and away but still watched it a bit. Someone from school used to stay up late to watch prisoner cell block h

Come to a sun drenched sea girt land where everyone is blonde and good looking, but, crucially, not too good looking. Suburban cul-de-sacs where children play in the streets. No poverty. The beach. Surfing. The surf club. More sun. Barebeques. Colourful language like cockneys used to have before their blood was diluted and they slid into terminal decline/Essex.

Henry Ramsay was the representation of the dark side. Going Bush and all that. Mona. Amazing how so many of the Neighbours cast went onto other stuff and Kylie legitimately became a super star.

If you go into Politics it's Eton/Oxford if you go into film and television you've been on The Bill. Very few finishing schools in small countries like Aus and England. Everyone gets filtered through the same funnels
