I was bored on a long train ride today and found myself staring at this woman's computer screen as she was taking notes on a class. It felt horribly wrong observing as she tried to make sense of some biology theory. I was intruding upon something very intimate without her knowing. Her naked brain, wrinkles showing, bad posture like how you stand around when noone's around and I was peeping.

I wonder how useless the bulk of these would prove to be if/when they were all collected and fed into some machine learning project. We could create an artificial general intelligence that only good at gossiping or something.

cool how texts tend to occupy both ends of the spectrum: lots of mundane shit but not all are useless gossip: people in the midst of relationship breakups, discussions about cancer treatments, navigating stressful personal situations, etc. some of their heaviest, most personal challenges.

I do like the photography elements, the cropping on images that sometimes reveal a partial sentence which, in its obscured state, could be interpreted in different ways. what did the sender actually mean? we'll never know.
