Lebanon’s health minister told journalists a ship carrying fireworks had blown up in the port, though the size of the blast heard across the country raised suspicions it might have resulted from a rocket strike or detonation of explosives - deliberate or otherwise.

First thought = arms dump gone wrong.
Second thought = too big, so who uses Beirut as a port? Stacks of nations involved in Syria and Iraq. Take your pick.

Wonder whether it was a warehouse full of chemicals or something. There are a lot of colours in the smoke.
 
Insanely close to first explosion. Fireworks or ammunition here, then some bulk chemicals for the second explosion with enough overpressure to condense water in the atmosphere, I'd guess

Breaking: Israel Nukes Beirut - Two explosions in Beirut, one a conventional guided bomb followed by a small nuclear weapon. The target seems to be an Iranian/Hezbollah missile storage facility.
