Our View of the World was simply made up

So we do a global debt jubilee, define baseline global living standards for everybody (in the world? or just in the "rich" nations? but will they still be rich, after this?), and restructure everything around the new reality. A vast amount of capital gets liquidated in the process, and with it the de facto quasi-sovereignty of the global corporations and the super-rich. What happens next? Does the power of capital scramble to reconstitute itself, seeking avenues to sweep up the great bonanza (everyone gets UBI, but everyone's rent goes up by something close to that exact amount)? Do nations reassert their sovereignty? Do they start having wars again (as in, not the US versus Afghanistan, but France versus Germany)?

those are some of the questions i am expecting you and the other boys to answer on this thread, yes.

i remember enjoying warriors ages ago but last time i watched it i thought it was rubbish - they're constantly running off and running away and saying "let's move", plus the costumes are stupid.

luka's first girlfriend left him for Reality.

Reality sold luka gritweed.

Reality repeated a joke luka had just made, but louder, and everyone laughed.

I really respect how luka isn't cowed by academic/Theory language

I read 'covid's a smoothie of Lyotarded performativity and Goodhartean surrogation, with some baseline coordination games happening.'

And thought, 'to enter into this debate now i'm going to need google/wikipedia at minimum and a PHD in an "ology" if i don't want to really get caught out'

Luka says 'stop being tedious' and the guy says sorry

😂

Philip k dick has a line about how, "reality is the stuff that doesnt go away, even when you want it to" (or something like that).

Open your eyes now. I will. One moment. Has all vanished since? If I open and am for ever in the black adiaphane. Basta! I will see if I can see.

See now. There all the time without you: and ever shall be, world without end.

Quoted in another thread recently - may even have been the one on Synchronicity! - "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, it doesn't go away". Which is strikingly clumsy phrasing actually - the second "it" isn't really needed at all. Reality is that which doesn't go away when you stop believing in it.

But maybe Dick repeats, underlines, the "it", because reality has that sort of "it"ness about it, it's an "it" independent of belief, not an "I" or a "you" or any aspect of what goes on between I and you - not subjective, not intersubjective, just "it".
