Have found myself going down a wormhole of frankie bones' comments on records on discogs.

Some proper gems in there on the history of this whole thing. And a trentemoller review, weirdly

he's got a lot to say!

on "Technical Onslaught": "Limited to only 500 pressings and without proper distribution or third party licensing, this is possibly one of Joey's rarest and unknown record. Following close to his first and only other release on Alibi Records "Let It Ride" - Direct, "The Calling" used gritty & dark freestyle grooves combined with his trademark sweeps & effects, this is one of the few lost treasures of the Belram catalog. One that should be remembered but sadly is not."

Ha yeah, I've seen Frankie Bones is all over youtube and discogs comments, wouldn't be surprised if he cropped up here even.

Him coming over to the uk in 89 and unexpectedly playing to 25,000 people at a rave, then trying to take it back to New York is a key moment in this music I feel.

pearsalls got some neck on him but fair play to the lad i'll definitely chuck a tenner in for this mix, even though i don't really like any of the music and just cos it's a good idea. and that liberator interview and mix he did was class so ive got trust in him he will deliver

Bah!

Actually I'm considering reposting all of the tracks in this thread again just to underline their sheer excellence
