Totally Wired

I'm still feeling you out. Very young and wealthy Computer programmer with normative right of centre/libertarian politics, conservative aesthetics but moderated by intellectual ambition and more openness and curiosity than is normal for the type. That's what we know so far. That's what @version said when I asked him what your dating profile would look like :D

my one redeeming grace is a modest inclination; I won't pretend I can give any policy recommendations to anyone, or to know what would come of steering the nationstate one direction or another. indeed, not sure what's good for people other than myself, generally, either

What do you mean? Like things peripheral in terms of importance? Less consequential things/stimuli?
literally and figuratively. Head phones on and hood up, visual stimuli the small patch of side walk around your feet, the steady repetition of your gait numbing body awareness. And then your wired at whatever your listening to because it occupies almost all of your sensational experience, focus with nowhere else to go spirals in on it and intensifies. Why creative spaces are often dark, closed off.

Oh, I see. Sort of like you are consolidating/concentrating your energy on fewer phenomena, making them more robust/rich? Have you thought of any other ways to implement this on a regular (perhaps even constant) basis? Or would that be too difficult?

Are we talking about an obsessive concentration or the opposite
Im saying obsessive concentration can lead to a wired state but I don't think they're the same thing. I'm thinking jittery energy that bleeds its way into conspicuous physical reaction

3. (Leary)The laryngeal-manual symbolic circuit (Wilson)The semantic time-binding circuit[23][24]Edit
This circuit is imprinted by human symbol systems. It is concerned with language, handling the environment, invention, calculation, prediction, building a mental "map" of the universe, physical dexterity, etc.

This circuit is activated by stimulant drugs such as amphetamines, cathinones, cocaine, and caffeine.[citation needed] This circuit supposedly appeared first when hominids started differentiating from the rest of the primates.

Robert Anton Wilson, being heavily influenced by General Semantics, writes of this circuit as the 'time-binding circuit'. This means that this circuit's contents – including human know-how, technology, science etc. - are preserved memetically and passed on from generation to generation, constantly mutating and increasing in sophistication.

This thing. Intellectualising, verbalising, caffeine jitters.
