i think Mark's privleging of tension isn't always an easy fit with psychedelia but he conceived of it as a plateau of intensity and focus which is exactly what acid or mushrooms, depending on dose, can be.

that's the problem with gilbert's view of fisher's psychedelia coming from him. mark took it so much further.

maybe yes but another problem is also hero worship, bro firsts, and death worship. They were collaborators. we can be enhanced in very interesting ways when we interact Collectively can’t we Luke

i always saw that tension as just a counter to the "sacrifice of all autonomy" that was being a happy clappy affectless pod person that he thought the average hippie. certainly not universally applicable but made sense to me, at least based on what hippie had become.

yeah, for sure. i think that's what was so weird about gilbert's essay on it all though. he seemed somewhat bitter about that / betrayed that spirit of collaboration and cross-pollination.

i must have read that Gilbert essay but i can't remember it. yes, i am very committed to The Conversation. it's the best way for me to generate ideas and stuff and gather feedback and adjust accordingly. also to make jokes about corsepys wanking habits etc

this is my greatest fear. the corporate capture of the psychedelic space so that it ceases to operate as an Outside.
