Dunno if this really counts as music. But the other day I had cause to mention that song
My name is Yon Yonson,
I live in Wisconsin, I work in the lumber mill there
All the people I meet
As I walk down the street
Say - hey what's your name?
Leading to him replying... My name is Yon Yonson etc
Maybe more famous
There was a man called Michael Finnigan
He grew whiskers on his chinnigan
The wind came out and blew them in again
Poor old Michael Finnigan
Begin again
As kids we sang this one
Cow kicked Fred in the head in the barn
Doctor said it would do no harm
So we all kicked Fred in the head in the barn
Next verse, same as the first
But a little bit louder and a little bit worse
And it occurs to me that There's A Hole In My Bucket goes through a series of instructions - which I forget - to fix the bucket, culminating in Liza (pronounced Leiza as we sang it) asking Henry to fetch water and him asking how he should fetch it and her saying "In a bucket dear Henry" and then he says... well you can guess.
