Yeah this is filled with brilliant quotes... I mean Greene has many (really really many) failings but in calling her a Communist Wood somehow managed to find one of the few insults that definitely doesn't apply to her...

Also, there is quite an irony in her saying

"Only monsters hurt innocent people in their greatest time of need," Greene said about the incident.

In the context of Wood failing to properly defend a nutcase who travelled for miles to murder innocent protestors.

And to my surprise, when she said Wood served "the father if lies" it turned out that she wasn't talking about Trump...

You’ve got to be watchful and weary with The Whites. They use alliteration as code, very sneaky race, especially the white Whites. Iceland, yeah you, back the fuck off

I wonder if the these people who say that Trump is the Real president and that this illegitimate regime has no Real jurisdiction can convince themselves they're not really in real prison.

When 41 months is reported does that mean that he will literally be in jail for that long or is it one of those where he only serves half of it?
Either way

its a long old time for some fucking space cadet isnt it

Yeah. I bet some guy stood next to him who did exactly the same stuff but who wasn't dressed as Davey Crockett at an EDM festival will not get as stiff sentence.

Wait and see of course, gotta admit I haven't paid any attention to the sentencing of these dweebs, but I suspect he has been treated as a ringleader, not so much cos he did any ringleading, but cos he was so visible.

I guess I understand that they were thinking "we can't have it that this guy dressed like a psychedelic cunt busts into the wotsit and takes the piss like this and gets away with a slap on the wrist cos this is the one that everyone is gonna notice and remenber".

But that is unfortunate for him if his sentencing is based on the example it will set... in other words, is something you could call tactical sentencing rather than sentencing on the merits of his case, as the law states it must be*.

I also take the view that most of the guys who stormed the Capitol were, if not exactly victims, certainly gullible fools viewed as completely expendable by the true ringleaders. In WW1 terms they were grunts sent over the top, ones who went over eagerly rather than requiring a bayonet prod from an officer, but grunts none the less. No doubt some, if not all, are total arseholes, but however hard the book is thrown at them it will have no effect on those who manipulated them into it and it won't change the course of the 'war'.

*I assume anyway, I mean dunno anything about sentencing now I come to think of it. Is it allowed for the judge to do things such as make an example?

Perhaps he'll get a Netflix series out of it tho or something? And maybe will be only a couple of years or less with good behaviour?

no idea really but wouldn't be surprised if he's out of prison after maybe 18 months. with general prison overcrowding, they don't need some jackass taking up space.

the best so far, of course, is this nitwit in Texas...

...who was just sentences to 60 days.

One of the only ways to remove your white privilege is to talk about it openly and rely on it getting you off.

Apparently Giuliani has said that he will cooperate with the Jan 6th Committee thing. I guess there is still plenty of time for him to change his mind or say that he's cooperating and just lie in his testimony or whatever, but I suppose even saying that he will cooperate means that he is admitting it has legitimacy which is more than a lot of his mates are doing.

One thing thing that I notice is that as soon as, say, Cummings slates Johnson, or Cohen testifies against Trump etc there is a sort of pre-programmed defence from Johnsonites/sTrumpoids along the lines of "Oh, yesterday Cummings was a scumbag but now you love him, weird eh?" which is of course a typically dishonest argument. I hate Cummings and Guiliani etc and I will always have the opinion that they are disgusting slimy bastards, but it's obvious that they have had access to Trump/Johnson and know a lot about their crimes, and it is totally characteristic of them to reveal what they know if they feel it is the only way that they themselves can get out of trouble or can get revenge on their former colleague or boss.

The point is, it's entirely consistent with their long identified nasty, spiteful little characters for them to spill the beans on their former friends if it will get their nuts out of a vise. When Cummings reveals various ways that Johnson is an idiot then I tend to believe that Cummings is telling the truth, not because I think he's suddenly become a good guy, but rather because telling the truth in such a way is exactly what I would predict an 'orrible little bastard like him to do in that situation where he feels he has been pushed aside by the custard king and wants to get revenge. And also because what he says chimes with what we know so far about Johnson.

Of course, with someone like Cohen who has already been busted for lying then his character is tainted and any testimony he gives is going to be affected by that, and I acknowledge that.

The arguments about the stolen election (yeah I can admit it now) still rumble on.. well, obviously they are not really arguments cos Biden supporters have long ago moved on and really there is no-one for the crazies to argue with - those still genuinely contesting the 2020 election at this point are the equivalent of those Japanese soldiers who kept on fighting WW2 until the 1970s - living for years without speaking to another soul, totally cut-off from civilisation and the real world they end up dressed in rags with hair to their knees, lacking in weapons and provisions, but every so often still stumbling out of the jumble and firing a couple of their remaining bullets in the general direction of their hated enemy shouting "Death to Biden" before scuttling back to Mar-a-Lago or wherever - and they don't "rumble" cos by now the only voices still claiming that the Dems cheated and demanding that Trump be reinstated are the shrill and hysterical screams of those who have long ago lost touch with reality. In fact where once everyone was laughing at these losers it's actually reached the state of being genuinely sad and only the most sadistic are still laughing.

Er, where was I? Oh yeah, what I was gonna say is that having failed utterly to achieve anything by any legal method in any court, Trump and supporters are now simply saying that the evidence for whatever the latest theory is, is so great that they can simply decertify the election without needing to test any of the evidence in court. To me this seems like a strange idea really, that you're just so sure that someone cheated in an election you don't need to do any kind of check or involve anyone else, you simply invent a new totally non-existent process called decertification and remove them from power.

Anyway, the latest big news is a video by Dinesh Dasouza - a total neutral and reliable observer who was pardoned by Trump in 2020 - who has made a video called 2,000 Mules which basically states that actually the election wasn't won by Dominion flipping votes, or dead people voting, or stopping the count or... any of the other previous theories. Which I think is interesting in itself, all the Trump supporters instantly knew that there was cheating, they just didn't know what kind - so basically they have accused the Dems of every single method they could think of, and then after each one failed to stick, they moved on to a new one until by a process of elimination they finally alighted on what is definitely the correct one.

Those who buy the DVD for about 30 bucks are now privy to information which is so conclusive that they are now all demanding that the election be decertified. And this is the real situation, loads of people are literally prepared to overturn an election for the President of the United States of America on the basis of a single video. The basic claim is that Dems used some guys to harvest votes and deliver them to the drop boxes, DD claims that there at least 2,000 such people, although he is hedging his bets and saying that there may be as many as 500,000. So a fairly wide estimate there, but basically, there were a lot of mules.

And this video is driving the right crazy even though even Fox won't touch it. Cos it's obviously bollocks. There is a very good analysis of the thing here https://www.readtangle.com/otherposts/2000-mules-fact-check-stolen-election/ which explains very clearly and leaving absolutely no room for argument how pointless the whole thing is other than for boosting DD's bank account.

I'm just going to mention one part of the rebuttal here
In the end, the most damning part about 2,000 Mules is not what the film's creators tell their viewers, but what they leave out. In September, True The Vote presented the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) with their claims. GBI responded by saying they lacked sufficient evidence to even merit an investigation.
“What has not been provided is any other kind of evidence that ties these cellphones to ballot harvesting,” GBI Director Vic Reynolds says in a Sept. 30 letter. “As it exists, the data, while curious, does not rise to the level of probable cause that a crime has been committed.”
In other words, all the evidence in this video which is blowing people's minds and which apparently is clearly enough to remove BIden from power, has in fact already been presented to the relevant bodies who looked and decided it was way too weak to even bother investigating properly. In short it's total shite.

To me it's utterly crazy to take some evidence for theory that has already been investigated by the authorities and debunked. And then release that as an earth shattering new revelation. And perhaps even more crazy that so many people haven't noticed this and swallowed it hook line and sinker etc etc

some politicians and candidates will say anything if they think it will get them support and votes. doesn't matter what that thing is, or if it's true. it's just a means to an end. someone like Dinesh isn't a politician, but it's the same principle: say anything that keeps them in the media spotlight and makes money.

Oh yeah he's absolutely coining it in from this video. I almost don't blame him, there are a load of fucking idiots waving fistfuls of notes at him and begging to be lied to, as far as I can see they deserve to be stitched up like a kipper.

i mean its the end result of said politicians and candidates stoking the fires and prodding these voters worst fears and darkest beliefs about other people in order to get votes now the lids come off they have no way to try and put it back in

not helped by the fact that "the opposition" didn't do anything to take them to task and just promised to do so eventually
