Zoomer Cult

2018 saw the death of almost as many legends as the rest of human history combined, and I haven't heard of most of them. Nipsey Hussle?

we cannot understand it... we can only listen sympathetically as they tell us the truth about the coming world, the New Culture... this is standpoint epistemology!!

Unrelatedly, the Japanification of youth culture and Eastern pop culture influence is gonna be a big trend to watch for Zoomer culture methinks

My little sister is fashionable, and the Japanese influence is tangible. Perhaps even extending as deeply as hairstyle, but then again I'm a total ruffian with this stuff.

Korean music has made serious inroads into the West at last. Japan has been burrowing into people's psyches for years primarily through its video games. Mr Tea is really into the stranger side of Japanese porn.

The anal eels clip has some virtues.

Someone thought about that, bought the eels, put some feelers out re however the fuck you recruit anyone for such ventures, got the eels inside, kept them there, then roll camera.

Japanese media resonates with black Americans, so its natural that it makes taste stateside. Though I think the japanification of youth culture is a little old to call a zoomer phenomenon. Its been here for a while now, 10 years maybe? Waka Flacka told us to suck his dragon balls in 2011

Method Man said he's the true fist of the North Star in 1994 but Dragonball and Pokemon definitely mark an escalation.

Ya. I thought about Wu Tang but I think the era were in is markedly different. Its anime centric which doesn't feel apt to the Wu.

Is it just me or is fandom more fervently embraced by Japanese culture? I feel that trend here, what with the ever growing variety of content and content providers.

Sort of like a culture increasingly and self-consciously built upon consumption, the self-conscious part perhaps functioning to hasten the production of content, no?

There were lots of anime fans in the 90s but you had the get the videotapes from rental stores no one had the access or the information they have now.
