once when he was drunk Craner made me watch an old Wales vs Scotland rugby match and he knew every line of commentary by heart.
Davies to Davies, to Evans, back to Davies, Davies round one, now another, he's going to score, there it is, he's put it down, that'll be 5 more points to Wales!

Sharon Stone famously called Dylan Thomas her favourite Irish poet. She's obviously powerful though, because all trace of this has been expunged from the internet.

One of my mates (whose dad's Welsh) was off his face, fell, punched me in the head and was trying to wrestle another mate then when he went for a piss, we decided to distract him when he came back in by having Land of My Fathers blasting out. It worked. He came in, paused for a second then threw his shirt off and started walking round the room, arms aloft, singing along.

I know that story is true and not 100% embellished. It really is that easy.

if you google "Sharon Stone Dylan Thomas" this amazing story is in the first page of results

Bikini Instinct: Sharon Stone, 62, stuns as she poses in a bikini by the pool

which begins with, as promised, her in a bikini and ends in a very jarring tonal shift with her quoting Dylan Thomas in response to her grandmother dying of corona

also there's a bit about here wearing a mask "like the one worn by British rapper MF Doom"

truly your tabloids are fucking wild

Yeah, but nothing about her calling him Irish. She's had it erased from history. Is she with the mafia or something?

The guy I'm on about is Welsh-Irish.
The two most sentimental races on earth, crossed with each other.

There's a half-decent modern brewery in Wales that goes by the faintly ridiculous name of "The Celt Experience". When I first saw it I said "The Celt Experience - that's basically harps and resentment, isn't it?"
