Invisible Sounds Record Label Launch 12th October - Jaguar No Me, Misekake

Lisbon based record label Invisible Sounds launches on Monday 12th October with long awaited album Misekake by Jaguar No Me.
Front man and main song writer Taishi Nagasaki (former bass player with Fat White Family) is the brain behind this psychedelic combo which formed in 2017, taking their name from an old Japanese children's programme - appropriately enough as a times there is a childlike naivete to the music which ranges from cinematic psych to rawer garage punk. I'm not going to go to great lengths to describe it, just listen!

The record is a beautiful object with a cover featuring the artist and - with a nod to Japanese records of yore - an obi strip down the side. The inner sleeve has the lyrics in Japanese and English (translated by me!) and sounds crystal clear.
You can buy the record from bandcamp or in certain selected shops - and there are also digital copies of the music available from bandcamp and soon Spotify etc if you're that way inclined.

Thanks man... hope so... but I'll settle for selling a couple of hundred copies and a few digital downloads too.

Nice one Rich. I added the video to the discogs page.

one Small nerd thing - you have tracks listed 1-9 on there but Discogs prefers A1, A2 etc for side one and B1 etc for side two.

I’ll have a listen and maybe grab the digital when out.

Thanks for all the tips and stuff guys. Maybe I can change that to A1 and B1 etc I'm struggling to edit the discogs stuff at the moment. Like a twat I somehow put it as number oo1 instead of 001 on the label and I can't seem to change that at the moment.
There is a bandcamp all set up and that's the best place for us to sell obviously cos we get the biggest cut there. I'll share that on Monday.
Hopefully it should also appear on itunes, spotify, amazon and so on on Monday - certainly we've paid a service that is supposed to do that and the release date is set to Monday.
As for the logo - I originally took the name from the book Invisible Cities by Calvino hence it's the writing against a city (a friend back in London designed it for us years ago), but there is (at least) one other person with that name so we changed it to Invisible Sounds and kept the picture for the sake of continuity

rich, just noticed it's available on cassette. how much of a run do you produce on tape? or is it on demand? always curious about the market for indie cassettes.

Ha... well that's a slight bone of contention cos Taishi made them without agreeing it with us and really it's a kinda competing product with what we're putting out. But, you know, fuck it. I can find out details for you if you like but I think it's VERY DIY - even compared to the gleaming future machine that makes up my part of it...

Little advert for themselves the band put together (it can't have taken them too long to be honest but you get some idea)

Yes I did. I went to like ten shops in Lisbon and everyone who listened to it took a few off my hands. Mostly sale or return though one guy coughed up right there to my surprise and I didn't argue. But if it was on the Flur mailout that's great.
I'm not totally sure it was right to put it in so many shops cos they take forty percent of each sale... but then it's good to get it out there. It's on the wall in Peekaboo I see. It's advertising I guess. We're learning.
Just sent a load to Norman Records UK

And to Hitsville in Dusseldorf.... but Taishi didn't bother going to the shops in Berlin so....

To clarify, your record wasn't in today's Flur email. I just thought about you when I received it. Will let you know if it does appear.
