Just go fucking stung on the postage... I went there yesterday and they weighed it and told me it was gonna be 88 euros so we checked with the guy and he was happy to pay that so I took it back today, now somehow it costs 103 euros.... aaargh.
Luckily you guys are giving me huge moral support that I genuinely value, I feel like a boxer who has been battered in that round but I go in the corner and Leo is giving me some water, Eden explaining the tactics, Edmund and Gus are giving me a rub down or something. I'm ready for the next round.

lmaoo at the other stuff on the wall, prince reissues, tarantino soundtracks, thurston moore's latest and you
Prince next to the king, what's wrong with that?
I've been to the house of the guy who runs that shop. He's a crazy guy who I think only consumes speed. He invited our friend round for dinner and he in turn invited us round too. He was expecting a proper meal I think, but like I say, the guy doesn't eat, so it was like three canapes each, then back on it.
His house is crazy though. He's got this balcony that I reckon is bigger than my entire flat - I actually made my girlfriend go and stand at the other end of the balcony and wave at me so I could take a picture cos I knew no-one (even me if I tried tor remember it later) would believe the size of it unless I could show them photographic evidence.
Anyway, the living room has his personal record collection all round the walls in shelves like in a record shop. At the middle of each wall is a turntable and he's got these little trolleys like you have in a library so you can pull a load of records of the shelf and take them to whichever turntable is nearest. And then he's got anther room next door for electronic music.

It's not that he's like super rich or anything, he just got a great deal on a rent controlled flat or something I think and has been collecting records his whole life. That's the other weird thing, he looks about fourteen and in the pink of health but somehow he's actually really old. The only explanation is that he's following that weird diet that Zhao used to go on about that proved humans don't need to eat. Come back Zhao - you were right after all!

I hope I don't bother anyone by posting too much, I do just get massively overexcited about things, like seeing it on the wall there and so on. But yeah please do feel free to shut me down like an over-excited yappy puppy if I cross over the line.

@IdleRich rich "Events, Releases, Sales and Mixes" is a promotional forum you can promote your stuff in here as much as you like and i personally will be extremely irritated if anyone asks you to stop spamming your own thread. they can FUCK OFF.

this is not the "Music" subforum and you're welcome to post as much here as you like. @sufi

@john eden - you have been good on discogs so far so can I ask a question? We sold a copy on discgos the other day so I thought that the record of sales and stuff (where it says "last sold" and "median price" and so on) would update automatically but it doesn't, why is that? I mean presumably discogs complie that information for most releases, it can't be down to the seller, or do I have to register the sale somewhere for that info to change?

Hmm I dunno how that side of it works Rich. Maybe there is a delay or maybe it needs a number of sales?

Could be... no worries, you answered one question for me and I assumed that you were the ultimate authority.

Probably the issue is not number of sales - come to think of it - cos there are loads of weird and rare things that discogs reports as trading once.
