@slackk I don’t I’m afraid - the producer was Finga Tipz if that’s of any help to you, however, I’ve never come across any of his tracks for download.

hey mate, absolute masterclass thread. i have about 20 gigs of bassline sets on the hd here, dm me on twatter or something and I will stick it up on dropbox.

As you can guess most of them are cd rips and track 01, 02. sometimes the skip silence tool in fb2k works, sometimes it doesn't. there are also some bassline niche things in there.

What distinguishes the tunes themselves though? What would you find in a bassline tune you wouldn't in a speed garage tune? Less swing?

speed garage, more reese, more shuffle from US garage - with exceptions. ragga samples and gunshots obviously.
bassline house - organ basslines, hardly no ragga samples, like a faster version of 90s handbag house.
bassline - rnb samples, grime mcs, metronomic semi-hard house beats with sometimes a mechanical 2step shuffle and those wobbling ts7/q basslines which mean the lack of the swing in the beats paradoxically makes the track as a whole swing harder.

great effort. i love dissensus being this massive repository of arcane knowledge. a library of alexandria for marginal dance music trends.

100% totally agree. what genre should we do next? happy hardcore?

I can probably do a top 100 but the cheese quotient is too much for me to take during winter.

@Matthew 's nigerian funk obscurities?

I'm sorry, would you just add your own daubs to the Sistine Chapel ceiling?
Thought this was the bassline thread now. I was looking for a speed garage thread too then remembered he also did one of them,
