PC Music really wants to be pop but fails by pop terms mostly. The songwriting and performances just aren't good enough unless they've got Charli XCX or someone bringing in proper choruses. It looks so weak in the context of someone like Cashmere Cat too.

I'd never really thought of Rustie as a precursor to PC music but listening to it now has got a very similar aesthetic, pop production , everything dialled up to 11. A.G Cook has been putting out an obscene amount of medicore stuff of late, with him singing and looking daft. not really sure what he's aiming for at this point.

Sophie BIPP is amazing, arc yes, but the perfect plastic shiny curve sound design is sonic instagram prosthetics, all surface. I've just thought of @craner typing this out actually. do you like it craner? i know he like charli xcx and christine gone which was the best pop tune of last year by a mile, ag cook production

i mustve hear dit before, cos I've listened to that whole album and it never registered, but maybe will go back. you hear something like BIPP and you think thete's gotta be some talent here. my mate saw her play live and said it was brilliant, just really ruckus and heavy, lots of bass to fill it out.

That immaterial tune has possibly the worst screeching bit ive ever heard in music somewhere after 2 mins but other than that its brilliant. There's a lot of talent there applying odd sound design to pop, contrasting abrasive with the sweet in satisfying ways. It is a thrill but i can't fully endorse it. Its only for posh fashion children, fascinating though, enjoy it

the high pitch of everything , what's that about? not going to clubs and experiencing function 1 so you get an extreme the other way? or you pull all the testosterone out cos youre so disgusted with masculinity/

good tune but not true. BIPP is mental. how can you not like bipp? later music is very knowing maybe conceited, designed to piss off certain gatekeepers, rustie has elements of this too, is what im getting at, it's consciously taking stock of the RA lads and Serious Music Heads
