He's deleted it now, but he was tweeting stuff like this,
"If you don't like pussy, then you can go elsewhere! This is all about men who like pussy. If you don't, go complain to momma!"
This being a guy who at one point did serious videos about philosophy etc on YouTube and considered himself some sort of unfairly maligned academic.

A bunch of people told him to stop drinking and he started listing great geniuses of the past and their respective vices.

you can learn everything you need by doing drugs and tuning into the frequencies you dont need books and school.

I think you see someone like John David Ebert and think "Are these my people?" and want to stop having any interest in anything that overlaps with him. The same with some of the rambling shite that gets posted in Sorcery of the Spectacle.

I like Grapejuice and I'm warming to Michael S. Judge, but I don't like John David Ebert and Sorcery of the Spectacle frequently does my head in.

Execution's important. You can have a lot of shared reference points, but if you present them in an embarrassing way then they don't count for much.

I ran into this problem with a load of the Deleuze discussion online. I'm intrigued by the ideas, but they're often discussed in this very American, very "online" way that you get on sites like Twitter and Reddit. No offense to the cool Americans on Dissensus.

For a philosophy which could be succinctly called a warning on the dangers of pointless energy redirection, the amount of times Ive been told to either move my question to a different chat or wait until some scheduled event comes up to ask it is so sad its hilarious

They told me off for posting a quote which mentioned something about suicide. How can you have a serious philosophy server where you can't discuss something as fundamental as that?

and everyone is terrified of being wrong. you tune in to these events and everyone is sitting there too petrified to speak. And thats not even to the moderators fault, they generally seem casual, consistently making efforts to self deprecate, remove a little of the inherent pretentiousness of the content, but it fails to connect
