I think I like the moon version better cos the softer beat leaves it left to your imagination what it is... more magical with that kinda easy listening feel to it somehow. Or maybe moonbeams sounds softer and more mysterious than starlight.

the final version squashes the slight afro beat element moonbeam had going for it. reminds me a little of mergia

genre ambiguous, synth laden, female fronted pop
I got you boss - the 80s wot do u call it nexus of minimal waves, cosmic-balearic, sleaze and Italo is positively awash in that vibe

in other words, very continental Europe, like the weirder, cooler, heavily drugged-up cousin of Eurodisco

actually a (very Bee Gees) male falsetto

this one is where Jamie Principle got the main synth line for "Your Love"

other favorites of odd ball synth work

Theres an innate repulsion to some this stuff that I cant place, gives it an allure. My girlfriend is not over it, certain 80's music gives her a shock therapy type reaction. an uncanny affect, knowingly played up after the fact by oneothrix point never, ferraro, pc music and etc. New age music in there too

I always mentally file this one beside Brenda Ray and Keysha
I almost posted Linda di Franco with that other stuff

albeit this is the one for me, like if the Sugarcubes had a sultry Italian chanteuse doing Balearic torch songs instead of Bjork doing Bjork

outre 80s Europop is an almost limitless ocean. J.P. Massiera alone is a world unto himself.

been listening to this album
apparently shares members with Lake of Dracula and US Maple, a gutter fuck menage a trois with scat play

US Maple has always felt only a few degrees off from Captain Beefheart by my ears. Groovy cacophony, odd meter, vaguely bluesy, the front man doing whatever it is beefheart does.

Ive burned a few of the female synth tunes you and others posted without listening onto a cd, cutting them up with hardcore tunes from shiels list. Im about to go on a long car journey so will report back as to whether i actually like any.

The cut up method is really working for me, i did kate bush hounds of love vs gza liquid swords and its really good, the only problem is you dont get the whole album cos the cd is not long enough.
