Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
I never liked slipknot, was just aware of them in the periphery, I was too old for that dress up stuff, but I love this croww album.
So is it all made from one sample pack?

Reminds me of when me and my brother made this "album" of "music" when we were, I guess, probably 16 and 13/14 respectively, using only a PC with the Windows 95 sound recorder function, a microphone and some samples from our not very extensive CD collections, the game files from Doom 2 or whatever. Anyway, it was pretty damn "outsider".

But the standout track was all my brother's work. He was obsessed with the word "spleen" at the time, and made a track consisting entirely of a recording of himself saying the word in a really menacing way, and then looped it, sped it up, slowed it down, reversed it and whatever, until he had this track that's pretty much two minutes of the most nightmarish musique concrète you've ever heard. I think I still have the tape somewhere...

Yeah that sounds quite good actually.

Re the croww, I think it's got a lot of other stuff and the live show has endless edits and sometimes the faint murmur of some euro trash trance as a him somewhere.

I work with someone who loves slipknot and played it to them big they were decidedly unimpressed, could not understand why someone would bother doing that etc.

Genius work imo

I bought the vinyl and the run out groove is this hand written line that is taken from a serial killer type case in America. I didn't look the whole thing up properly, cos it was a bit creepy/long, but its on the discogs page if you are interested

Boyd Rice - The Black Album (1977 but reissued by Mute in 1981)

I had this but thought I had got rid of it. Remember it as being quite good. Will have a dig later.

Got it second hand and someone had stuck a "Those Who Do Not Remember The Past" sticker on it.

Obviously Boyd Rice is a complete dick these days and has been for several decades.
