you sound like trump, "I'm the most/least (fill in the blank) person ever" on any random topic.

One of those things where you just put money into it and wait, provided you think useful things can be built atop it. In the case of citycoins in general, passive income is built into the assets, albeit at a declining rate to due gradual supply increases.

That said, there are of course people who trade these things, but short of being able to manipulate markets (trading bots pushing demand up and down on the one exchange these assets are listed on, hence the aforementioned "major liquidity issues"), I don't see much promise in active investment here.

I listened to most of this today- this lad is an influential figure right?

Strange how nasal and Rick Moranis the American intellectual tone has become. Growing up the important American people had big gravelly voices that sounded like they ate giant steaks and smoked a million snouts. Thought it the other day when that Jordan Peterson video was doing the rounds as well, strange whiny voice. This lad has a cackly laugh, sounds like someone who hangs around in Games Workshop

Is this a byproduct of podcasting where all the bass gradually ebbs away on laptop speakers or a slow shift in the culture

New York rappers sound really different now as well. I've been moaning about that for a while

i'm listening to it now and he sounds like a whiny nerd, who simultaneously also sounds like someone who's spent way too much time on the internet

Not particularly. I think he had Thiel's ear for a while, perhaps still does if he's on the show, and he was one of the figureheads of the 'Dark Enlightenment' along with Nick Land, but from what I've seen he's mostly a curiosity who pops up from time to time and the bulk of the people who are even aware of him think he's a knob.

He was interviewed by Tucker a while back, but whenever I see him mentioned online it's usually people rolling their eyes and treating him like a meme - much like Land.

I'm gonna beg to differ with Version's account

(1) Guy coined "redpill" (2) Guy is the guy who seeded all the neo-monarchist stuff

Unqualified Reservations published steadily for like a decade or two

I would say he has a similar footprint for traditionalist/reactionary/monarchist scene as Land has in accelerationism

I guess it depends by what you mean by "influential" though, maybe Version's and my account doesn't differ much, we're just anchoring in different scenes/levels of clout/respect/memetic power

Urbit, which is his baby, is a very hip piece of software, and people sell property on it for millions of dollars
