Eh teens of thousands globally. Heck, Wektor knows em. And the headline podcasters in these scenes make millions of dollars from crowdfunding
are we talkking nyers or sir spyro
the guy who made "chocolate rain" has five times that many!
if we are talking about ny residents or wealthy internet cafeteria 'boheme' I think their biggest mistake is the underestimation of how many people still watch tv and legitimately are fine keeping their inner eyes closed for the most of the day, listening to jayz or whatever the fuck plays on the radio with no interest for 'obscure' spotify playlists.
terminally online does not mean what it used to, and most of the geezers on this forum will probably tell you that.
a few days ago I saw a bunch of photos from occupy wall st back from 2011 or some shit. made me think of this a little.
I think in the first place, the twitter lot (thanks to the echo chamber features of the platform itself) are very very much convinced they are entitled to feel better than the mainstream new yorker, since they are in the know and, which, again, I feel (this is a problem of big cities with lots of people living within them) is mostly a group delusion.
before coming to london never have i seen someone looking so hip saying so much dumb ass shit with so much confidence, so either a big city problem or an anglo problem, not sure.
and yes it can be made a part of the game, of course, but i would say people overestimate their niche microceleb community in comparison to say, nas.
and yet it is not the term niche in a good sense at all.
just advanced examples of people so generic you could not even imagine their daily, living in denial.
dasha shops at shein for fucks sake, while a covid denier biscuits admitted on this forum to owning more than a few rick owens garments.
how conscious do you think those people are?
