It's bollocks though, whoever swears by it. If you read Spare and then think about this stuff, it's such a dumbing down. There's an essay called The McDonaldisation of Occult use - title should be self-explanatory, but that's what sigils as magic spunking is.

I think it's in The Grey Book in terms of the TOPY stuff. And that has a different spin on it, quite far removed from Spare. No alphabetical glyphs. Not much to do with Spare at all really, apart from the word "sigil". It's just that thing - is this an original reading, an interesting idea? Or is it a third hand formula that spreads on the internet 'cos it's a bit easy to type up and involves fnar fnar wanking?
