No, beiser was being a drama queen. Nothing to it. He's just frustrated that people on dissensus don't share his passion for finance and technology.

I've never even read revealing the map, I'll read it now

how do you look back at your first 6mos on the board?
Pros: good lads atmosphere complete w/ homosocial negging, new concepts, its own unique canon of likes and dislikes, good personalities, probably one of the more holistically valuable/stimulating communities I've been a part of, one I would pledge allegiance to & put money & sweat into preserving

Cons: no taste in film, completely misses the ball on Terrence Malick, no appreciation of natural beauty and great American landscapes, the Hudson River school, pastoral poetry, not a single thread on Wordsworth, probably reflecting some deep masculine stunting

Version also deserves a lot of credit for discovering that you could massively slyly take the piss with the tags. Is it choon of the day that's just laugh out loud? Loads of threads, really, ace tagging. Completely not using them for what they're meant for, in a way that the exception proves the rule.

I appreciate that it gives me permission to delete anything, even the most egregious interruptions of thread flow—I can always point to Version
