They're sincere by default. You can tell when they're not being sincere because they end the sentence with "/s".

I almost never engage in sarcasm.

edit: largely because it presupposes something as being obvious, which I tend to think is a habit that hinders ones ability to process complex situations. Perhaps there are exceptions. Not sure.
