I'm not actually I'm ok I just think Danny's assumptions and prejudices are baked into the question just as mine would be baked into any answer I gave

this thread came to mind recently. some democrats have already started with the "oh, maybe it's a mistake to pursue trump with impeachment, the country is torn, it's a time for healing and bringing people together", etc. if the tables were turned, if the GOP had just gained control of the presidency and senate, and hundreds of left-wing protesters/terrorists just invaded the Capitol Building, you KNOW Mitch McConnell would not for a second hesitate to go in for the kill.

dems concerned with the feels, GOP see it as bloodsport.

Most people assume that the left is not allowed to have leaders who will fight. Only lackeys and lickspittles.

Most people assume it has been methodically defanged so it doesn't pose a threat to vested interests,

Beto O'Rourke prepping to run for Texas governor. Lost to Ted Cruz in the 2018 Senate election and tanked after considerable early hype in the last Dem presidential primary. Third time a charm, or a perennial attractive loser? Hard to tell, I guess there's always a chance Texas moderates will turn against Rep. governor Greg Abbott's extreme legislation on voting restrictions and abortion.
