In terms of perfection, the difference between Thorburn's first ever televised maximum 147 and that of Ronnie O'Sullivan twenty years (or whatever it was) later is amazing.

Paul Lim Leong Hwa,[1] known simply as Paul Lim (born 25 January 1954), is a Singaporean professional darts player. He was the first player to hit a perfect nine-dart finish during the Embassy World Darts Championship, which he achieved in 1990 during his second round match against Jack McKenna. Lim won £52,000 for his nine-darter, which was £28,000 more than Phil Taylor won for winning the tournament. His nine-darter remained the only nine-dart game to have been achieved in either version of the world championships, until Raymond van Barneveld hit one against Jelle Klaasen in the quarter-final of the 2009 PDC World Darts Championship. It was however the only nine-dart finish ever achieved at the BDO World Darts Championship as no other was achieved prior to the conclusion of the its final edition in 2020.

A guy in the year above me at school got a dart thrown in his leg at a house party. It was in this long room with a dartboard at one end and he was sat on a beanbag with his legs stretched out under the board and chatting with a girl. Someone just lobbed it right in his leg. Amazing.

The funniest thing like that, imo, was this guy called Rick who was so pissed he knocked himself out smashing his face on a bathroom sink then when his mates found him on the floor they just shaved his eyebrows off and left him there.

some months ago when the pubs were still open i walked into a pub together with a friend of mine and we were high and drunk already and some people were playing darts real serious and my friend just grabs one of the arrows without asking and throws it right in the bullseye it was such a beautiful moment we cried from laughter and happiness.

There was one like that where my brother's mates were messing about and the dart hit one of them in the eye and they were all like "fucking hell you've got a dart stuck in your eye" and he said "yeah get a camera".

Shame he couldn't manage a treble-twenty.

Has anyone else seen that Bros documentary? At one point they're talking about how poor they were when they grew up and explain that their favourite toy was a dart. They didn't even have a board. They just threw it at each other.

🤣
