Crying

The new Pixar film almost got me, as did "Inside Out" which I revisited after. It's funny how sometimes you really want to cry, like you really want to sneeze, and it's frustrating that you can't quite get there.

This is the scene that almost got me. I've seen it a few times before. What's notable here is that the scene is about how important it is to be able to cry sometimes, and how you actually get a feeling of intense relief and happiness from crying sometimes. And that in of itself made me feel like crying

taken on a somewhat different connotation, since the alt-right have spent the past four MAGAyears trying to make the libs cry again. result of cruelty as opposed to a sad or touching situation.

At the same time tears and the sympathy response is the enemy of the right so they have to try and short circuit it. The left don't really need to argue. They can just show dead babies and stuff.

"Don't make me leave like this Murph!"

Also when he was watching the recordings of his son sharing important life experiences.

Plus, that kind of abrupt entrance into some kind of higher order reality is something I am subtly terrified by.

Ive mentioned this before but what is most certain of making me cry is someone being appreciated and celebrated and so on. there's a bit in the recent Wonder Woman film where she saves a village and all the townspeople are gathered about her cheering and sobbing oh we love you Wonder Woman you're our hero. That had me in bits

Scribble all over the wallpaper with a crayon. "Oh what a wonderful spontaneous drawing Stan! You're so talented!"

Crying tears from your genitals doesn’t count.

This gets me too. But moreso when someone is bigging up another person who’s lost hope
