one last thing DOOM's a really interesting look at diaspora through a single person when you look at him Zimbabweian/Trini mix born in Britain grew up in America (Long Island specifically) but cause of passport shit from when he was a kid he was exiled out from the US despite living there his whole live and seperated away from his family.

its even worse when i remember 3 years back news got out that one of his kids died too

its the diaspora part that really got me into him cause you don't often get many african-caribbean rappers out there, you get alot from one side or the other i noticed but the ones right in the middle i can't think of any others besides him and billy woods

woops

is not like other people
i think he lived in bermondsey in exile so a mural in south london makes sense

The crossover between writers and doom fans is massive. He'll get more murals and tribute pieces worldwide than Biggie

What killed him?
my hunch is that it was suicide. he lost his brother a long time back but he also lost his son in 2017. that's a lot of heartbreak for a sensitive soul to bear. pure speculation.

i was thinking that maybe the widow couldn't cope with the situation and finally someone said - sis we have to announce it before new year or it will look too strange being a whole year later in 2021.
