traditionalism itself is wholly modern. It wants to modernise tradition, and thereby wrench tradition from its context of landed property.
see: Confederate statues in the U.S., which have/had v little to do w/Civil War remembrance and everything to do with reifying and reinforcing Jim Crow white supremacy via Lost Cause mythology. see also: the Nazi fixation on people like Hermann/Arminius, Siegfried, Frederick Barbarossa, etc or the fascist obsession with Classical Rome, or etc reactionary harkening back to a falsely idealized golden age.

All "traditionalist" iconography is just some manner or another of thinly veiled - or not - blut und boden propaganda, whose propagators usually treat it with exactly as much respect as it deserves - i.e. none - essentially an excuse to grift on the ignorance (not stupidity, let's be clear) and desperation of their own followers, MAGA being a perfect example of such. It - ironically tho unsurprisingly - has v little to do with actual tradition, which just gets in the way of the mythology.

even by the low standards of Internet strawperson bullshit that's one of the laziest ones I've ever seen, tho smearing "female empowerment" with neoliberalism is a neat trick
Bruh, 1) that's not my quote, it's by a lefty woman in her 20s/early 30s. 2) It's not even controversial in young feminist circles that much of 3rd wave feminism is neoliberal capitalist bullshit, this is like, old news. It's literally one of the canonical points of departure for 4th wave feminism and feminist degrowth. Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In was published, like, when I was in high school. Half of the alt-left trad women are high-achiever burnouts who read Christopher Lasch and said, "wait, I got sold on some capitalist bullshit, why exactly is it liberating for me to work at Goldman Sachs?" Stay in your lane if you're not up-to-date, oldie!

I really love how this "Gus is alt-right" meme has so infiltrated group perception of me that even when I recycle uncontroversial feminist talking points in slightly edgy language it's somehow now an anti-feminist smear.

they've got tanned athletic legs, like an ultimate frisbee player. they wear Russell Athletic when its casual time. a Hawaiian shirt for the keg party. they might throw a girl in the pool when they get excitable.
does that describe you mvuent? no, it doesn't. you're not a dude and there's no shame in it. that's my definition of dude and im not having any arguments about it.

it's not even controversial in young feminism that much of contemporary feminism is lean-in bullshit, this is like, old news
That's not the strawman, the strawman is v tenuously connecting lean in woke corporate feminism to yr boilerplate Defense of Western Civ. Sick use of italics tho.

How did u put it? Stay in yr lane if you're just going to recycle MRA style talking points with a slightly gentler tone

You're questioning a testimony from a young woman about her lived experience. That's very mansplainy of you, not very good standpoint epistemology!

I wouldn't know what is or isn't an MRA talking point, since I've never interacted with the MRA side of the internet—never had to, I was always so successful with women!

You on the other hand seem very familiar...
