Love that bin laden one, was listening to his new album last night and that was one the standouts.
Amazing gaseous production throughout, even though some tracks are a bit half formed (there are 35 of them though).
yeah really nice instrumental but as you say he should have written some lyrics for it.

i can't draw a clear line between yo! and any other track on the thread

and neither can the people who made it no.5 in the jamaican chart

and neither can the dancehallmag journalist either! seems just as musical as any of these tunes and the production as good

I agree, I don't think skilli is particularly 'nonsensical' on that track, and the dancehall maģ reaction and YT comments were OTT, but it's definitely a lot looser and rambly than something like Brik Pan Brik - you must be able to see the difference right?

Or compare Yo to Jahvilliani on the same riddim - a much more structured song with a proper chorus

Listening back I guess Yo does have a chorus too, but thats what people were ridiculing as 'nonsense'. It's subjective, I suppose.

[Chorus]
From me say, "Yo"
A pow
Gunshot in a face now (Now)
From me say, "Yo"
A pow
A no police
You know how that go
Yo
From me say, "Yo, yo"

Bit of a one-man thread this, sadly, but I'll keep posting tunes from time to time I suppose. Maybe more people will post after reading Neon Screams?

Skillibeng's been making a few Drill tunes recently (JA producers too), this new one Egyptian flavoured one is my favourite so far in this microgenre.

This one, like his last big hit Coke, is based on a real incident and he recorded and released the track within days of it happening. Also a Drill beat.
