Oh i see he's a known guy

I saw it had 3k views on youtube and thought it must be super obscure so was surprised re the fee

I hope you found something more soothing to listen to, Corpsey. That don-don-don repetition does flirt with maddening, even when sober.

Akaline lost most of his magic for me a little while back, but Static is a nice surprise

I'm enjoying the arms race to come out with the most laryngitic post-Skeng flow; the scene will have to correct at some point, but the pendulum has really swung from Intence et al's needling whine:

I don't know why Ding Dong works for me when most of the 'veteran dancehall' stuff doesn't impress these days, but BOUNCE's blaxploitation-ish riddim sounds great:

And another good riddim, but I'm v disappointed they called this the Delta Variant instead of using Chronic's 6ix Variant for the title:

RE: Static, if it was literally anyone else but Alkaline on an anodyne riddim like that I wouldn't have got past the first 10 seconds, what a genius singer.

Bless you @Roobric for bringing Delta Variant to my attention that is superb. Been a bit behind the last few weeks and need someone to keep me up to date. Just been listening to these that Barty sent me:

Sinna Meech/Bobby 6

Iwaata - Chakka chakka (loves a good flute riddim does Iwaata)

World Dawg on the 6ixx Rack riddim

Chronic Law - Count

Slyngaz - Brawlin Murda

Love Slyngaz's dedication to the obeah man schtick. Nearly every single song of his features Satan, zombis, guzu men, guard rings, chicken sacrifices and duppies galore

Good stuff Benny, I also have a weakness for flute riddims. There's a Whap Whap remix with Fivio Foreign & French Montana out too. I wasn't paying close attention but it sounded credible

So Gvnman Spaniard was on the Samba riddim, also featuring Jahshii & Jahvillani's Badness which I maybe like more:

(Iwaata and Bayka have versions on it too though I didn't have the patience to properly check them)

Malie's Bank looks like a bit of a hit:

His Crook is mushpiano, but those yelping ad-libs and reverbed chipmunked bg vocals make it stranger:
