Obviously a psychopathic sexist murderous cunt but also a genius who made some truly visionary music. And wore some incredibly progressive wigs.
Always find the parallels between Spector and Joe Meek fascinating too. Travelled almost the same road in the end though Meek was more in a hurry to rush to the end of course.

I was driving on a pretty treacherous iced-over highway in the dark last night, without chains, and this song came on, I'd never heard it before, by thirty seconds in I'd pulled over—I had to, even though it was so dangerous—this song was so goddam awful I couldn't listen to it one second more.
