Sensory Deprivation

I feel like i could use some right now

someone told me today they caught the rona and their family shut them in the attic for 10 days over christmas,
that sounds quite ok, hermetic, getting food brought to you.
of course they all caught it anyway and so were together for new years :)

and the guy who locked himself up in the dark for months, he did drawings but i don't think it did him much good.

I enjoy baths for the sensory deprivation aspect, I have them in the dark with music playing really loud, put my head underwater a lot.

It's not just the external noise that needs drowning out, imo. It's also the internal. You don't want to end up like a Beckett character, locked in the void, nothing but a mind racing.

"Ask yourself this question. Do we have to be human forever? Consciousness is exhausted. Back now to inorganic matter. This is what we want. We want to be stones in a field."
