What countries do you crush on?

I wish I could be a fly on the wall whenever someone who's invested all their hopes and dreams on living in a foreign country moves there and progressively realises that it was never the country they lived in that was a problem, it was them, and there's not a flight you can take to ever get away from yourself, you pathetic worm.

Although actually it wouldn't really be funny unless I was watching myself do it.
do you want me to start posting my diaries

Let's Talk About Ceps
Although I never really imagined moving to Holland or anything I certainly have had a crush on Holland, specifically Amsterdam in the past.

Yes, there is the most obvious reason for this (freedaweed), but there's also my various encounters with dutch people in my late teens and early 20s that convinced me they were the most friendly, good looking and weed-positive people I had ever met.

Not grasping, back then, that I would be a misshapen dwarf amongst high elves there. They'd be knocking me over with their bikes, accidentally, thinking they must have hit a squirrel.
The food's terrible and, if you're anything like me, you'd find yourself badly missing hills. Even London is mountainous by comparison.

I went to Cairo. My abiding memories are a dead cat outside KFC and being hustled into a shop and aggressively sold papyrus.
Also didn't like Bangkok for similar reasons. Getting stopped every two minutes and offered a ride to a diamond factory and/or brothel.
this is why i never want to go to a poor country like Spain or Italy.

If you are in a foreign country and don't manage to make a good time of it then the problem is yours not the country

Unless its at war obviously but all the same im sure you can still make something of it

Perhaps not everyone has my natural charisma and general exuberance- also willingness to drink anything that's put in front of me- but I've managed to make something of basically everywhere.

I hate it when people say somewhere is shit, i just think you haven't tried hard enough
