Twitter style and tone

Do you hate it like me. What do you hate most?
This hate is a feature not bug isn’t it?
what does thinking in tweets do to people?
There’s something very dishonest. Is that about a collapse of nuance?

its evolved under selection pressures to its current form/forms. it doesn't have to be that way. its the likes and retweets which fuel its evolution, not the word limit.

the format tweets have really taken over. now you see adverts on the side of buses and so on using those same formats. you just need to swap out a word or two and its there.

twitter was the first social platform
Where the audience was limitless and it was more about participation in the now, feeding the feed, more than profile curation, and the algorithmic updates prioritised the provocative feed further

It definitely feels that with Twitter and also Instagram there is a deliberate move towards the more simplistic and - yeah - lacking in nuance.

can you give us an operational definition of twitter tone, or at least some examples

there are a lot of "twitters" by which I mean linguistic subcultures

Boooooring. Rich this line has been regurgitated the last decade by everyone over 30! You're far too interesting and have done too many drugs to just rehash the basics
