Twitter style and tone

People constantly claiming to be "exhausted" by, well, more or less anything.

"White women" seem to be a notable serial offender.

Rachel Dolezal is such an obvious headcase that I feel a bit bad laughing - but that is pretty funny.

the core thing about twitter, what keeps it in constant tension, is that you have all these very distinct camps that differ in thought and logic but interact in a way that push all of them to converge on the same "winning attitude" or "notion of cool" so that this common value system of style becomes the rope on which to tug.

I;m not familiar enough with Twitter personally, although I really should be, but it seems like, seeing as virality is quantifiable on a single axis, there would be an ultimate fitness of "cool" around which the subcultures' auxiliary cool fitnesses orbit.

Who is it on here that called twitter a teaching machine? coz it is obvious that's one of the things that's going on with it

I think the network effect is perhaps the critical dynamic at play when we are considering higher-order entities such as groups of humans, compared to humans.

What distinguishes a higher order entity in this sense, I'd say is the amount of connections made between units of the system, connections that emerge and may not be inducible solely from a single unit.

Sort of what I'm aiming for with the autodidactic program, to achieve a network effect between many regions of thin topic-based knowledge, and to build a reticulum that elevates the state of affairs.

And the amount of potential connections can increase non-linearly as new units are introduced linearly, hence the "higher order" nature of the system.
