Our fearless leader apparently has a lucrative side hustle he's kept from us...

Something Bothering You? Tell It to Woebot.

But Woebot is striving for something more. With $22 million of venture capital in hand, Woebot is seeking clearance from the F.D.A. to develop its algorithm to help treat two psychiatric diagnoses, postpartum depression and adolescent depression, and then sell the program to health systems.

@Woebot did you copyright the name?

It would actually make a lot of sense if dissensus turned out to be a big data mining project for an algorithm dedicated to curing depression.

After pasting the whole thing in, I got a pop up saying the post had to be less than 10,000 characters. Then I tried to attach it as a word file and it wouldn't work. I'll email you the word doc, Matt.

can't get that archive link to work, @sufi. and the guardian article is on the general topic, the Times article is specifically on Woebot.

oh that's interesting - archive.is is ostensibly a web archive of some sort but actually a nice way to avoid paywalls, but maybe your ISP or your local junta has blocked it?
you can read the whole times article using the "reader view" in firefox to render it as text and ignore their rather primitive paywall anyway
