Why does the left hate crypto so much?

It seems like third rarely proceeds in bad faith.
Third proceeds in nothing but bad faith. I've yet to see one instance of him actually making an effort—as evidenced by even approximate interpretive accuracy—to understand any one of the messages he's attacked.

What are you talking about? When have I ever discussed a political figure on this board?

And I'm literally laughing my ass off at the idea that you—or anyone—can look at things "objectively"

The whole point of experimentation and science broadly is to get past subjective hunches and see what actually works, which is about as close as we get to objectivity—but we'll never see anything objectively, we'll only have theories with predictive power.

Yes, thank you for recapitulating the Kantian problematic.

Unfortunately you are wrong on two counts. 1) we are not dealing with the philosophy of science but politics and 2) pursuant to that we are dealing with the political subject, not the cognitive subject.

Proceeding in good faith means actively caring what the other person is saying, what they mean, actively steelmanning their position, and then pointing out problems.

Jumping in with bizarre insults and condescensions that completely miss the point of the post they respond to is not what it means to operate in good faith.

thirds intellectual background is marxism which claims to be an objective science which is why it's impossible to have a conversation with him about politics becasue marxism is a dogma and its adherents have to learn the dogma and regurgitate it there's no room for doubt or discussion. every marxist is like this its not peculiar to third. its the nature of marxism.

Loling that you think philosophy of science is about "a discipline called science" and not the larger problems of "how do we know things"
