Jackass Forever (2021)

I think it looks fun, although I grew up watching those guys. It actually seems kind of quaint in 2021, even if the stuff they're doing's still incredibly reckless. It's funny to look back on the outrage at the time now that they've been more or less completely embraced by the culture.

That being said, I'm not keen on the use of animals in this stuff. It's cruel.

Definitely going to watch this. I've probably grown out of a bit by now but when I was a teenager these were my heroes.

There's a bit of melancholy around it all now isn't there? Ryan Dunn is dead and Bam Margera is an alcoholic with mental health issues. And the rest of them are old. That's the way it goes with booze/drug abuse. Seems like good clean fun when you're young (even when you're stapling your nuts to your thigh). Same thing applies to being a DJ/working in the music industry.

We were so influenced by Jackass/CKY/Dirty Sanchez as teenagers, slapping and setting fire to each other at parties and drinking our own bodily fluids etc. Good times.

If you fell asleep/passed out at a party you'd be guaranteed to wake up covered in marker pen at best.

The footage of Steve O doing 'whippits' (laughing gas) straight out of the nozzle is absolutely effed

That might be an interesting thread actually – pathetic things that made you cry.

I remember Luka saying how he was crying like a baby watching Trainspotting 2 cos he related to the tragedy of young good looking Underworld fans becoming old washed up losers.

I remember being surprised at Knoxville being the craziest of the bunch as he's the face of the thing and I'd assumed he was more of a PR guy. One of the first filmed stunts he did was shooting himself in the chest with a handgun whilst wearing a bulletproof vest...

Gotta admit this is a common experience when you reach my age... on TV, in real life... even closer to home.

Two things that are like that Twin Peaks and Trainspotting, where there was a gap of 25 and 20 years respectively and then it returned with much of the same cast.... what else?

Has anyone seen that thing Friday Night Dinner with Paul Ritter who was in Chernobyl? It was on the other day and the joke was the eccentric father had put all his family's data into some computer program that predicted when they would die and he was upset cos it said he would live "only" until 2048.... given extra poignancy by the fact that probably everyone watching knew that Paul Ritter actually kicked the bucket about a year later in 2021.

Still defile-able, imagine her beaming as she ejaculates pints instead of all confused and unfocused
