DLaurent's Techno Top 100

Time to get this finished. No one wanted to suggest tracks publicly but I have had some PMs that suggested tracks to me that has given me a little inspiration to finish it. There are 35 tracks to go and I have 20 lined up to post.

66) Bandulu - Presence

This is the most 'party' Bandulu track I know, instant uplifter to get things pumping again. I thought I might have already posted something by Bandulu but I haven't and this is the most obvious one.

67) Future Past - Dance Intellect

Bassline growler from Kirk Degiorgio. Sonically ahead of its time for 1991 and if I'm going to pick (another) B12 Record this would be it.

69) Ken Ishii - Low

I have no Japanese techno on the list, and very little 'Belgian' stuff, so I was digging through the R&S back catalogue and found this funky number.

70) Roy of the Ravers - Emotinium (Secret Mix)

Thanks for the suggestion of this one by PM. I thought it was Aphex Twin when I first remember hearing it, I'm sure he's at least played it.

71) Robert Hood - Interiror Suspect

I already listed some Hood tracks but this was also suggested by PM and it's such a class track it needs including.

72) Truth - Calm Down

This EP fetches a ton on discogs by the sounds of things, and although probably a bit overrated in that sense, this track is very chilled.

73) Black Dog - Otaku

I have Black Dog tracks on the list already maybe, but this has always been a favourite, not least for the title, Otaku, which is a Japanese term for a type of geek!

75) Sound Virus - Bossa Blue Dub

I don't know anything about the producer of this but I think it has recently been repressed as I found it browsing Hardwax and this is a pretty unique track.

76) Inigo Kennedy - Obsidian

Hardly any 'new' techno on the list. But I heard this on a Surgeon mix a while back and had to find out what it was.

77) Inner City - Ahnonghay (Dave Clarke Remix)

Dave Clarke's the darkest mix of this Inner City track. 'Helicopter' or some sort of breaks and dark stabs.

78) Directional Force - Parameter

More Dave Clarke, why not? This one an amen track I think from 1990.

80) Rue East - Remove

I think this one was also suggested to me by PM. It's a great track either way, with 'warrior' staccato strings.

81) Too Funk - Too Funk To Funk

I know nothing about this 1998 record other than I'd play it, especially this B2 side.

82) Link - The Augur

I think I already had a Link track in here but I have a soft spot for them. Love the 'cosmic' pictures that always tend to accompany this kind of spacey techno on YouTube and it doesn't get much more celestial than this.

83) Capricorn - 20hz

I think this would have been a pretty commercial track for 1993 and so is a bit of an oddity on the list. Could still play it.

84) Stephen Brown - The Self

Another one that was recommended to me. I hadn't heard it before but it's quite haunting.
