What the hell to do this summer?

not really but we dispatch multitudes of mosquito squadrons to hound the sassenagh and enhance their dismay

seriously, loads of camps sites open and farmers looking to diversify
hit up a mate in Ggow and I'm wondering if it's worth it to go all the way up to the highlands or is hiking around the lakes exciting enough you'd say?
I don't drive and it would seem like even getting up there might be of an issue if I want to go by train

Love the Ridgeway, love heroin. Never walked it for more than a couple of hours though, I just grew up near there. I always fancied spending a few days walking somewhere, sleeping under hedges or maybe in the odd hostelry, exchanging travellers tales in the tap room over mugs of foaming ale with other gentlemen of the road. Waking bright and early after a refreshing sleep in a basic but honest room, setting out again with a song in my heart, legs happily weary from the miles they've eaten up... but I worry it might be really boring.

Alright it's been decided, I'm going Fort Williams then walking around. Considered Loch Lomond too but it seems to be a popular trail and I'm not too keen on dogging in the hills.
